Reorder, rotate, delete and duplicate PDF pages
Fix pages that were scanned upside down, are missing, or aren't needed — with a few clicks and a thumbnail view.
Open the page list
After opening a PDF, press the Pages button at the right of the toolbar to show thumbnails of every page on the left. For a PDF with several pages it opens automatically; a one-page file starts with it closed. Click a thumbnail to jump to that page.
What to click
| To do this | Do this |
|---|---|
| Reorder | Drag a thumbnail onto the page whose position you want. The page you drop onto gives the new position. |
| Rotate | Hover over a thumbnail and press the counter-clockwise or clockwise button. Each click turns 90 degrees. |
| Duplicate | Press the duplicate button to insert a copy right after the page. |
| Delete | Press the trash button. The last remaining page can't be deleted. |
| Add a blank page | Press the + button between thumbnails to add a blank page in that spot, the same size as the page before it. |
What happens with undo?
Every page operation can be undone with Ctrl+Z. Annotations you added before a page operation are merged into the PDF the moment you change the pages; undoing the operation brings the annotations back as well. That makes it safe to mix page work and annotations.
Common uses
- Straighten scanned documents — rotate only the pages that came out sideways or upside down.
- Tidy up a submission — delete unneeded pages and put the rest in order before sending one file.
- Add room for notes — add a blank page, then use Add text to write on it.
You can't edit text in place on a rotated page. If you need to fix text, do that first and rotate last.
