Extract and split PDF pages
Use this when you want to send only the pages that matter from a long PDF, or break a large file into several smaller ones.
Save selected pages as a new PDF
- Open a PDF in the editor and press Extract & split on the left.
- On the Extract pages tab, type a page range, for example
1-3, 5, 7-(pages 1 to 3, page 5, and page 7 to the end). - Press Save as new PDF. A new PDF with just those pages is downloaded. The document you have open stays as it is.
Leave the range empty to include every page. Page numbers start at 1; a number beyond the last page shows a message.
Split into several files
On the Split (zip) tab, choose how to split, then press Split and save as zip.
| Mode | Result |
|---|---|
| One file per page | Every page becomes its own PDF. |
| Every N pages | For example, enter 10 to get PDFs of 10 pages each. |
| One file per range | Type 1-3, 4-8 and each range becomes one PDF. |
The resulting PDFs are bundled into one zip file. Inside, files are named with their page numbers, such as name-p1.pdf and name-p2-3.pdf.
Good to know
- Annotations you've added so far (text, shapes, signatures) are included in the result.
- You can create up to 500 files at once.
- Extracting or splitting never changes your open document or its undo history.
To leave out pages that contain personal data, extract everything except those pages. To hide only some text inside a page, use Redact instead.
