Placing a signature image

  1. Sign on white paper and take a photo or scan it. A PNG with a transparent background looks cleanest.
  2. Press the Image tool (I) and choose the file. You can also drag an image file onto the page.
  3. Move the signature to the signature line and drag a corner to size it. The aspect ratio is kept.
  4. Adjust opacity in the style bar if you like.

Images up to 12 MB are accepted, and any image with a side longer than 3000 pixels is scaled down automatically. The signature image is used only inside your browser and is never uploaded.

What happens when you save?

When you press Download, the annotations on screen are merged into the PDF's content. They look the same in any PDF viewer, but you can no longer pick them up and move them as separate items later. If you might still change something, finish it before downloading.

Annotation text uses Noto Sans / Noto Serif. The on-screen preview covers Latin letters (including accented ones), digits and common symbols; characters outside that range are still written into the PDF, but the preview font may differ.
